About Me
More About Me
I am a first-generation Haitian American woman, and my inspiration to do this work draws from the spirit of courage, tenacity, and liberation of my Haitian ancestors. I come from a background of 17 years as an ICU nurse. After almost two decades at the bedside tending to people’s physical trauma within the model of a broken healthcare system, I shifted my passion of healing towards emotional and mental wounds through a more holistic and sustainable approach. In my re-discovery process, I have come to the realization that we live in a fast-paced world that demands more of us than we are often willing or able to give. When I stopped long enough to listen to the messages my body was giving me, I was finally able to tend to myself and others in a more meaningful and sustainable way. This is how I find myself here now, eager to share the gift of a deeper inner knowing with those who crave peace, healing and freedom from the pains and challenges that burden them.
“As soon as healing takes place, go out and heal someone else.”
- Maya Angelou
On the fence about therapy?
Seeking therapy is a courageous act of self-care and I understand that reaching out for help can feel like a big step. Emotional wounds and trauma are isolating in nature, but healing happens best in community, or with a compassionate witness. A collaborative and supportive approach to healing has potential to transform your life.
